Lightning F1A XM174/D 56 Squadron 1963. c/n 95061. built 15/11/60. "Y" 56 Sqd, "D" 56 Sqd, 174/226 OCU, 173 Leuchars TFF, 29th November 1968 crashed into Ballmullo Quarry near Leuchars, Fife. The pilot - Flt. Lt. E. Rawcliffe - had ejected due to a fire warning soon after take off from RAF Leuchars
